Capabilities involved
- WebAssembly and browser workers run the preserved engine. Shared-memory paths also depend on secure context and cross-origin isolation headers.
- The archived build offers WebGL2 and automatic renderer selection. An automatic choice can use WebGPU where available; WebGPU is not a requirement for the explicit WebGL2 path.
- Origin-private file storage can retain verified map files. Space and permission policies vary by browser and browsing mode.
- Keyboard/mouse input and click-initiated pointer capture are needed for play. Website readability on a phone is not evidence of mobile gameplay.
Compatibility evidence, not a certification list
| Environment | Result on record | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| macOS / desktop Chrome 155 | October 10, 2026 controlled tests entered ten maps and checked basic inputs. | Some runs used a temporary permission in a dedicated test profile. Ordinary default-profile reliability remains unverified. |
| Desktop Chrome, other systems or newer versions | Not newly tested in this revision. | Shared engine family does not establish a pass. |
| Microsoft Edge | Not tested here. | Check capabilities; no compatibility promise. |
| Firefox / Safari | Not tested here. | Renderer, workers and storage need actual engine validation. |
| Chromebook / ChromeOS | Not tested here. | Model, policy and available storage matter. |
| iOS / Android / touch-only devices | Reading pages is supported by responsive layout; gameplay is not offered. | The archived runtime rejected mobile devices. |
Plan storage and connectivity
Manifest estimates for compressed map data range from about 271 MiB to 386 MiB. Decoded map content is larger, roughly 857 MiB to 1,254 MiB across this capture. Neither figure is a universal total install requirement; the engine, optional media, fallback encodings and temporary browser work can add more.
A metered or managed connection may limit large downloads. Do not remove network restrictions or weaken browser permissions to force a launch.
