01 / YOUR FIRST RUN
How to play Azeroth Survivors
Positioning comes first.
Your upgrades shape what comes next.
- 01
Choose a hero
Read the starting skill, select a class and choose the battleground offered by the current game. Learn one kit before changing everything at once.
- 02
Move, don’t get surrounded
Keep a route through the arena while your attacks fire. Circle open space, leave yourself an exit, and collect experience when the route is clear.
- 03
Make upgrades work together
At each level-up, read the offered cards. Strengthen a reliable attack and cover a survival weakness before scattering choices across unrelated effects.
Check the original game’s settings for its current bindings. Extra keys documented for the GitHub build may differ.
02 / CHOOSE YOUR APPROACH
Classes, best-class advice & tier lists
Start with a playstyle.
Let the current tooltips settle the details.
Looking for the best class? For a first comparison, try Mage or Hunter if you prefer range, or Paladin if you prefer fighting nearby. These are playstyle suggestions, not a tested power ranking. A useful Azeroth Survivors tier list should name the patch, equipment and conditions behind its results.
Warrior
Melee pressure
Watch how much room you need to enter a crowd and get out again.
Paladin
Close-range survival
Compare nearby damage coverage with the recovery options offered in your run.
Hunter
Ranged attacks
Keep an escape lane open and compare single-target damage with crowd control.
Rogue
Close-range attacks
Check attack reach before committing to a route through a dense pack.
Priest
Magic and recovery
Read whether each choice improves damage, recovery, or both before investing.
Shaman
Elemental magic
Look for upgrades that support the same damage plan rather than competing plans.
Mage
Ranged magic
Compare area coverage and cooldowns while keeping space from the swarm.
Warlock
Dark magic
Read duration and damage tooltips carefully; keep moving while effects work.
Druid
A flexible spell kit
Build around the spells actually offered instead of trying to cover every role.
Class themes are an orientation guide, not measured rankings or a list of guaranteed abilities. Read the hero picker and current in-game descriptions before choosing.
03 / GIVE YOUR BUILD A JOB
Build around what ends your run.
One problem. One next choice.
Three ways to read your upgrade cards.
Clear the crowd
When ordinary enemies are closing every exit, improve the attack that consistently clears your route. Compare its area, targets and cooldown before adding another damage source.
Can you collect experience without repeatedly walking into enemies?
Stay in the run
When damage arrives faster than you can recover, read the defensive and recovery choices in the current build. A damage upgrade helps little if you cannot stay alive long enough to use it.
Can you recover from one mistake without immediately taking another hit?
Handle the boss
When the wave is manageable but bosses last too long, compare reliable single-target damage with your crowd-clearing choices. Save a clear route to reposition instead of circling into fresh enemies.
Can you keep damaging the boss while maintaining an escape route?
04 / PHONE, TABLET OR DESKTOP
Can you play on mobile?
The original game’s current loader includes phone touch-control support and attempts landscape fullscreen where the browser allows it. That is a capability in the code, not a guarantee for every phone.
Open the original game directly, turn your phone to landscape, and follow its on-screen controls. WebGPU support, available memory and the graphics driver still determine whether it can start and keep running.
No physical iPhone or Android gameplay test is claimed here. This is browser play; this guide does not provide an App Store or Google Play app.
Is WebGPU available?
Check this browser before troubleshooting the game. The result stays on this page; the check sends no report.
Not checked. A compatible API and adapter are necessary, but do not guarantee the game will run.

Browser play, Windows download or GitHub?
Original browser game
Open Aethus’s original game in its own tab. No separate installer is needed, although the browser still downloads game resources. WebGPU is required.
Open original game ↗Windows download
The original page links a Windows .rar archive. Download and extract that release; check the creator’s Discord for newer builds and release instructions.
GitHub source build
OutThisLife’s repository provides a separate source-build workflow. Its README lists Rust, build tools and a roughly 5.5 GB game-data download. This is a different setup path.
Read the repository setup ↗Do not assume parity with the originalOn macOS or Linux, the original browser page is the entry point linked here. Check the creator’s community for any additional native releases. This page verifies the published Windows link, not the archive’s contents.
06 / GET BACK TO THE GAME
Azeroth Survivors not loading?
Start with the message you see. An iframe restriction, a host limit and a graphics error need different fixes.
Try the original page first ↗“Fake website detected” or an embedded game that will not start
The creator’s current loader rejects games opened inside another website. Open wow.aethus.pl in its own tab using the button above. Retrying this frame, changing class, or using a different guide page does not remove that host restriction.
“This browser has no WebGPU”
Use a browser and device that provide WebGPU, keep the browser up to date, and check that hardware graphics acceleration is available. The browser check on this page tests the API and whether it can obtain an adapter; it does not start the game or guarantee a successful run.
WebGPU exists, but no usable graphics card is found
The API can be present even when the browser cannot use a graphics adapter. Check your graphics driver, hardware acceleration and the GPU assigned to the browser. On a machine with two GPUs, the creator’s loader recommends checking the browser’s graphics preference. Try the creator’s Windows build if browser graphics remain unavailable.
“Too many people are playing” or HTTP 429
This is a host-side capacity or request-limit message. Try the original page again later, check the creator’s Discord for service news, or use the creator’s Windows download. This guide does not operate the game host or offer a separate game server.
A black screen, a crash, or a stalled first load
First open the original page outside the frame. Then check WebGPU, update the browser and graphics driver, and close other demanding GPU tabs or apps. Let the first download finish. Before clearing site data or switching browsers, export a save from the original game if you can still reach its save menu.

08 / A FEW MORE ANSWERS
Azeroth Survivors FAQ
Free play, saves, mobile support and which version you are actually opening.
What is Azeroth Survivors?
Azeroth Survivors is Aethus’s free, fan-made single-player survival roguelike inspired by World of Warcraft. Move through enemy waves, gain experience, and choose upgrades while attacks happen automatically. It is a separate fan game, not a Blizzard release or a WoW subscription feature.
Is Azeroth Survivors free, and do I need a Battle.net account?
The creator’s browser game is free and does not require a Blizzard or Battle.net login. This guide does not sell the game, take payments, or ask for your Blizzard credentials.
Where can I play Azeroth Survivors online?
Open the creator’s original game at https://wow.aethus.pl/ in its own browser tab. This page also offers an optional iframe, but the creator’s current loader blocks embedded play. The original-site link remains available before and after loading that frame.
What is the best class or build in Azeroth Survivors?
Choose for the problem you are trying to solve: attack reach, clearing a route, surviving pressure, or boss damage. Mage and Hunter are starting points to compare for a ranged style; Paladin is a starting point to compare for close-range survival. These are playstyle suggestions, not a measured tier list. Read the current game tooltips and the patch used by any ranking.
Can I play Azeroth Survivors on mobile?
The original game’s current browser loader includes support for phone touch controls and attempts landscape fullscreen where available. A phone still needs compatible WebGPU hardware and browser support. Open the original page directly; this guide has not verified a run on a physical iPhone or Android device.
Where is the Azeroth Survivors Windows download?
Follow the Windows download linked from the creator’s original page, or check the creator’s Discord for the latest release. This page links that source and does not mirror the archive. The GitHub project is a separate local source-build route, not the same download.
Is the GitHub repository the same version as the original browser game?
Do not assume that it is. OutThisLife/azeroth-survivors-re describes itself as a personal local source build and credits Aethus’s original game. The original browser deployment has not been shown to come from that repository. Controls, progression, zones and balance from one version may differ from the other.
Do I need the Azeroth Survivor WoW addon?
No. The standalone browser game is played on the creator’s site. AzerothSurvivor on CurseForge is a separate in-game remake that runs as a World of Warcraft addon. Installing it is not part of starting this browser game.
Can I move my save to another browser or device?
The creator’s current loader refers to the original game’s Options → Saves → Import Save flow. Use the game’s save export and import tools when available. Do not assume progress transfers automatically between browsers, devices, a third-party frame, and a local source build.
