Ask what problem the purchase solves
| Need | What to check at the machine | Tradeoff |
|---|---|---|
| Survive a mistake | The exact effect in this solo build, not a later game’s description | Points spent here cannot also open your next route. |
| Reload with less exposure | Whether your weapon and position let you finish a reload safely | A faster action does not supply an escape route. |
| Handle sustained pressure | Actual firing/ammunition behavior in this version | Faster consumption can increase resupply pressure. |
| Recover after going down | Solo-specific rules, uses and what is lost | Multiplayer behavior may differ. |
Do not merge perk systems across releases
Der Riese exists in multiple games and related remakes. A machine name or familiar room is insufficient evidence that costs, effects or availability match. In particular, later perk revisions must not be described as though they are automatically BO1 mechanics.
A machine can also require progression before it is usable. Record both reaching it and successfully buying/observing the effect. We do not publish a guessed machine coordinate or purchase limit for an untested map.
What a verified perk entry should contain
- Identify map, build, solo/multiplayer mode and date.
- Capture the machine, readable prompt and displayed price.
- Record points before and after the purchase, along with any power or equipment prerequisites.
- Demonstrate the claimed effect with the same weapon and controlled conditions.
- If describing loss, reuse or a limit, test that part too. Buying once is not proof of a maximum purchase count.
